Distance Learning \/ Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh dilaksanakan karena peserta didik tidak berada di lokasi yang sama dengan pendidik \/ guru. Wajar saja hal ini dilakukan mengingat untuk mencegah transmisi penyebaran virus Covid-19, sekolah-sekolah ditutup dan diberlakukannya protokol kesehatan dengan menjaga jarak. Model Distance Learning \/ Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh dapat dilakukan dengan mengadakan kegiatan belajar secara daring\/online seperti konferensi, webinar, kelas atau program belajar mandiri.<\/p>\n

Keuntungan dari Distance Learning \/ Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh adalah peserta didik dapat melakukan kegiatan belajar dengan kecepatan mereka sendiri. Mereka juga tidak perlu datang atau hadir ke sekolah, Mereka cukup melakukannya dari rumah sehingga mereka dapat lebih nyaman belajar.<\/p>\n

Meskipun peserta didik melakukan pembelajaran jarak jauh dari rumah, mereka tetap dapat belajar dengan mode sinkron, yaitu mereka dapat belajar pada waktu yang sama dengan rekan-rekannya. Sedangkan Blended Learning atau Pembelajaran Campuran merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang memadukan antara pembelajaran tatap muka dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Strategi ini dapat dianggap sebuah metode yang tepat untuk diterapkan pada saat pandemi ini.<\/p>\n

Ada beberapa model dalam Blended Learning atau Pembelajaran Campuran. Saat ini, Noble Academy tengah menggunakan model Blended Learning berupa Flipped Classroom. Kemudian, peserta didik datang ke kelas \/ sekolah sesuai jadwal yang telah ditetapkan, untuk melakukan konfirmasi pemahaman belajar yang telah dilakukan, membahas hal yang masih belum dipahami, atau juga dapat melakukan eksperimen yang tidak dapat dilakukan di rumah. Selain itu, di kelas \/ sekolah, guru juga bisa mengajak siswa berdiskusi dalam kelompok kecil untuk memperdalam materi yang dipelajari.<\/p>\n

Sekembalinya dari sekolah, peserta didik dapat kembali melakukan refleksi hasil belajarnya di rumah atau juga dapat mempelajari hal baru sebagaimana yang telah ditugaskan oleh gurunya, sehingga siklusnya berulang kembali.<\/p>\n

Dengan model Flipped Classroom yang telah dijelaskan di atas, peserta didik di Noble Academy tidak perlu hadir ke sekolah tiap hari. Mereka datang ke Noble Academy sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Model Flipped Classroom juga akan melatih peserta didik dalam mengelola waktu belajarnya dengan baik, dan juga para guru juga merasa punya waktu lebih untuk berinteraksi dengan peserta didik sehingga guru dapat membekali peserta didik dengan kemampuan untuk berpikir kritis (critical thinking), untuk dapat bekerjasama (collaborative), untuk dapat berkomunikasi (communication skills), untuk dapat berpikir kreatif dan inovatif (creative\/innovative).<\/p>\n

Menurut Suyanto dalam Suhardi (2020), berdasarkan penelitian tentang pelaksanaan model flipped classroom yang dilakukan di beberapa sekolah di Amerika Serikat dan di Indonesia, ditemukan bahwa sekolah yang melakukan model ini, peserta didiknya memiliki motivasi belajar yang sangat tinggi dan aktif di kelas. Selain itu, ada peningkatan lebih baik dalam hal kreativitas, tanggung jawab, dan pencapaian akademiknya jika dibandingkan menggunakan model belajar tradisional.<\/p>\n
